Vermont Town Forests
Many Vermont municipalities are fortunate to have public land for the benefit of their residents. These town-owned acreages provide recreational trails, wildlife habitat, timber resources and other benefits to the town. According to the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry program 168 Vermont municipalities own over 67,000 acres of forested land.
